Private Journeys, Created in Bhutan

Travel Bhutan
more meaningfully.

Private journeys designed by Bhutanese people who know the country from the inside.

Why Travel With Us

We take you inside Bhutan, not just around it.

01

Life inside the Villages

Walk through harvest fields, watch houses being built, sit with a family over butter tea.

02

Relationships that feel Real

A curious classroom, a proud farmer, a monk who walks with you, moments you didn’t expect to carry home.

03

Meaning behind every Symbol

We travel with someone who can explain what every prayer flag, ritual and sacred site truly means, from the inside.

04

We represent Bhutan

Every journey we build is our way of showing the world what Bhutan truly is. We carry that seriously.

01

Local from the beginning

Your journey is designed by Bhutanese people who live here and understand the country beyond the standard tourist route.

02

A guide and a monk

Where appropriate, we combine cultural knowledge with genuine spiritual interpretation.

03

Built completely around you

The route, pace, accommodation and experiences are selected around the traveller rather than a fixed template.

We don’t want you to leave impressed by us.
We want you to leave in love with Bhutan.

Planned by People Who Live Here

Your Bhutan journey starts with a local conversation.

Prayer Flag Voyages is Bhutanese-owned and operated. The people planning your journey are the same people coordinating it on the ground.

Thinley, our founder, does not plan from a distant office. He is on the road, sharing the Bhutan only someone born here can show you.

Good To Know

Answers before you ask

Yes, most travellers do. We handle the entire visa application as part of your booking. You share the documents and we take care of the rest.

The SDF is a daily fee charged by the Bhutanese government, currently USD 100 per person per night for most nationalities. It funds free healthcare, education and conservation. We arrange it for you as part of your booking.

March to May and September to November bring clear mountain views and the major festivals. Monsoon means lush valleys and fewer visitors, and winter is crisp and quiet. We plan around what you want to feel.

Budget roughly USD 250 to 500 per person per night including the SDF, stays, meals, guide and private transport. Every enquiry receives a transparent, itemised quotation.

Send the enquiry form and we reply personally within 24 hours. From there we shape the journey together, with no pressure and no templates.
